Annual Family Golf Tournament

Every year for the last 20 or so years we have had a family get together where we have some great food, great company and usually try and squeeze in some golf as well. Over the last few years we have switched over to Frisbee golf. For those not familiar with this it is played in a forest using small hard Frisbees that are surprisingly hard to throw straight. The hole consists of a steel baskets with chains draped over it (the chains are supposed to “catch” the Frisbee) Going against the recent trends of equal rights the men’s tee was usually behind a stand of trees with no straight line to the basket so a curve shot is required. The common result is to squarely hit the tree and have the Frisbee either ricochet into the dense forest or come straight back and land at your feet. Even DD had a Frisbee and got in some nice shots.

Lots of fun was had by all and as usual the time past quickly and before long it was time for everyone to leave. DD had LOTS of fun playing with her Aunties, Uncle, Nana and Popa and really didn’t notice her Mom and Dad that much
